One-on-One Live Lessons
Meeting Each Singer Where They Are
Live Lessons are your time to get feedback and guidance from an expert teacher, one-on-one and in real-time. Lessons include vocal exercises, voice technique, and direct work on songs for performance or recording, all tailored to your unique goals, preferences, and needs.
The Live Lesson Experience
Every lesson begins with a check-in—how did your practice go this week? Any questions or challenges that came up? This conversation shapes what happens next. Some lessons focus heavily on technique; others dive into song work. The balance shifts based on what you need most right now.
Your teacher guides you through vocal exercises designed for your specific development. These aren’t generic warmups—they target the exact skills you’re building. As you progress, exercises evolve to match your growing abilities.
Song work brings technique into practice. You’ll work on music you choose, with guidance on interpretation, technical execution, and performance. Your teacher might demonstrate a phrase, stop to work on a tricky section, or suggest practice strategies for the week ahead.
Why Weekly Lessons Work
Consistency matters in vocal development. Weekly lessons create a rhythm of instruction and practice that builds skills steadily over time. Your teacher tracks your progress from lesson to lesson, adjusting their approach based on what’s working.
Trusted Since 2010
With over a decade of experience teaching singers of all ages, styles, and abilities, Cardon Studios is ready to meet you where you are with tools to guide your success.
Video Coaching
Expert Guidance Day Or Night
No matter how crazy your schedule gets, Coaching is available to you when you need it. Simply record yourself singing inside your private account and submit it for teacher feedback and help. When you study with Cardon Studios, you gain the benefit of accessing our entire talented team, and the confidence that you will be fully supported wherever your singing journey takes you.
How Video Coaching Fits Your Life
)Life doesn’t always cooperate with lesson schedules. Maybe you have a last-minute audition and need feedback on your prepared pieces. Perhaps you’re practicing an exercise but aren’t sure you’re doing it correctly. Or you recorded yourself at a gig and want professional input on how it went.
Video Coaching fills these gaps. Upload your video anytime (evening, weekend, during your lunch break, anytime!) and receive personalized feedback within 48 hours. This flexibility means expert guidance is always accessible, regardless of your schedule.
The Coaching Difference
Video Coaching is particularly valuable for performance development. In live lessons, you’re focused on learning and responding to your teacher. In coaching submissions, you’re performing and that’s different. Your teacher sees you as an audience would, allowing them to comment on stage presence, emotional delivery, and overall impact.
Flexible
Easy self-scheduling, plus you can submit for Coaching after hours! Make the most of your time by working smarter.
Member Events
Easy Self-scheduling And Flexible Policies
Wherever you are on your singing journey, a pro needing to brush up their stage presence, or a total newb struggling with overcoming stage fright, our low-key Online Events provide a safe place to test out your performances with a supportive group of peers. We offer Open Mic Nights (live on Zoom), Showcases (pre-recorded), and Group Classes on special topics.
Why Events Matter
Private lessons develop your skills. Events help you use those skills in front of others, which is ultimately the point for most singers. The gap between “I can sing well in my practice room” and “I can sing well for an audience” is real, and our events help you close it.
Each event type serves different needs:
Open Mic Nights are casual, low-pressure, and perfect for trying new material or building basic performance confidence.
Student Showcases let you present polished work to a wider audience, including family and friends who can tune in from anywhere.
Group Classes provide focused learning on specific topics while connecting you with other students at similar stages.
Supportive and Inspiring
Singing with your teacher is a great start, but what happens when it’s time to perform? Our online events help you test the waters with a supportive network of peers.
From Platform to Performance

Your Practice Plan
Support Between Sessions
Where you may have felt lost or confused between lessons at other schools, now you can feel supported and guided. Your personalized Practice Plan is unique to you and grows as you use your membership. Review past lessons, assigned exercises or tools from your teacher, and gauge your progress. Never wonder how to practice effectively again.
What's in Your Practice Plan
Your Practice Plan is a living document that evolves with your development. After each lesson, your teacher adds notes, assigned exercises, and goals for the coming week. Over time, this creates a record of your progress that you can look back on and see how far you’ve come.
Key Practice Plan Features
- Lesson Notes: Summaries of what you covered and key takeaways
- Assigned Exercises: Specific warmups and technical exercises for your current focus areas
- Song Work: Practice guidance for pieces you’re learning
- Progress Tracking: Visual representation of goals achieved and skills developing
- Resource Links: Quick access to Learning Library materials relevant to your work
Why Practice Plans Work
Many singers struggle with “what should I practice?” syndrome. You know you should practice between lessons, but without clear direction, practice time becomes unfocused or frustrating. Your Practice Plan solves this by giving you specific, personalized guidance for every practice session.
We keep it simple.
Cardon Studios helps unveil the abstract mysteries of singing with simple, clear language.

- Style Guides: Overviews of different musical styles and the specific vocal techniques they require.

Why Online Learning Works
Platform vs. Traditional Studio
When Cardon Studios moved entirely online in 2020, we discovered something surprising: many aspects of vocal instruction actually work better in a digital format.
Record Every Lesson: Unlike in-person lessons where you might take notes (or forget details), every online lesson is automatically recorded. Review exactly what your teacher demonstrated, replay specific exercises, and ensure you’re practicing correctly all week long.
Practice Anywhere: Access your Practice Plan and Learning Library from any device. Practice vocal exercises during your lunch break using your phone, review lesson videos on your tablet, or work through technique demonstrations on your laptop. Your entire learning system travels with you.
Geographical Freedom: Study with expert teachers regardless of where you live. Our team serves students throughout the Washington DC Metro area and beyond, bringing high-level instruction to anyone with an internet connection.
Consistent Quality: Digital lessons eliminate variables like studio acoustics, commute stress, or sharing lesson spaces. You’re always in your own comfortable environment with consistent audio quality and the setup that works best for your voice.
Integrated Progress Tracking: Everything lives in one platform: lesson recordings, coaching submissions, assigned exercises, progress notes. No papers to lose, no external apps to juggle—just a comprehensive system designed specifically for your vocal development.
