What You'll Need:
A reliable internet connection, a device with camera and microphone (smartphone, tablet, or computer), and a quiet space where you can sing freely. That’s it. Most students find their existing setup works perfectly.

Flexible Scheduling: Book your weekly lesson up to a month in advance, or schedule week by week as your calendar allows. Need to reschedule? Just give 24 hours notice and move your lesson to a time that works better.
Pause When Needed: Going on vacation? Facing a particularly demanding work period? You can pause your membership at any time. When you’re ready to return, your teacher and all your account materials will be waiting for you.
No Long-Term Contracts: Unlike traditional music schools that require semester commitments, Cardon Studios bills monthly. Cancel anytime without penalty if your priorities shift—though we find most students stay because they love the flexibility and results.

Understanding how your voice actually works transforms how you practice and perform. You’ll learn about breath support. You’ll discover how small adjustments in posture, jaw position, or tongue placement can unlock significant vocal improvement.

Your First Lesson: What to Expect
Curious about how lessons actually work? Here’s what happens when you start:
Before Your Lesson:
You’ll complete a brief questionnaire about your musical background, goals, and any specific challenges you want to address. This helps your teacher prepare a lesson tailored to you from the very first session.
During Your First Lesson:
Your teacher will spend time getting to know you—your voice, your musical history, your aspirations. You’ll do some simple vocal exercises that help your teacher understand your current abilities and identify areas for growth. You might work on a song you’re interested in learning, or focus on foundational exercises. Every first lesson is different because every student is different.
After Your Lesson:
You’ll have specific things to practice before your next session—exercises, concepts to explore, or sections of a song to work on. Many students find that having clear practice guidance makes their between-lesson time much more productive.
What to Expect as You Progress
Your First Three Months
New students often wonder: how quickly will I see progress? While every voice develops at its own pace, here’s what many Cardon Studios students experience in their first few months:
Weeks 1-4: Building Awareness
Your first month focuses on developing awareness of your voice and breath. You’ll learn what healthy vocal production feels like and begin recognizing tension or strain. Many students report that singing feels easier by week four, not because their range has dramatically expanded, but because they’re using their existing voice more efficiently.
Weeks 5-8: Technical Foundation
Month two deepens your technical foundation. Exercises become more challenging, targeting specific aspects of your voice, perhaps strengthening your breath support, smoothing your vocal transitions, or expanding your comfortable range. Students typically notice clearer tone quality and more control over pitch and volume during this phase.
Weeks 9-12: Applying Technique to Songs
By month three, technical concepts you’ve been practicing start showing up in your actual singing. That high note that felt impossible in week one might now be accessible. The song you’ve been working on sounds more polished, more confident. This is often when students feel the shift from “learning to sing” to “becoming a singer.”
Throughout these months, your teacher adjusts constantly based on your progress, ensuring you’re always working on exactly what you need next. Some students move faster through certain areas; others take more time. Both paths are completely normal and valid.
