BECOME A COMPELLING PERFORMER

Challenging yourself to improve demands a lot. At Cardon Studios, we aim to keep things as stress-free as possible to encourage you to relax, explore, and enjoy music-making. Group Classes provide the emerging performer a safe outlet to tackle new ideas with supportive peers. Settle into a new comfort level with your singing or playing, and expand your horizons by tackling live performance in our Masterclasses or Showcases.

1. OPEN MIC: A CHILL SPACE FOR MUSIC-MAKING.

A casual outlet, this forum is a safe, supportive space for you to enjoy sharing music with your peers. Performing live for others is a big step! Our relaxed online events are the perfect fun, beginner-friendly venue to experiment and learn to love performing.

Tune in to watch and pick up inspiration from your fellow students, or share a performance of whatever you’re working on.

To participate as a performer, an advance RSVP is required.

2. MASTERCLASS: LEARN PERFORMANCE SKILLS.

Led by Cardon Studios’ teachers, this live online group class focuses on the finishing touches of bringing your performance to life. Pre-selected participants will share a perform and receive live coaching for the benefit for the whole audience.

Whether you participate as a performer or simply observe, you’ll benefit from discussions of stage presence, battling nervousness, applying acting tools to enhance your song interpretation, and more. Come see our students and teachers work wonders and test these new tools out yourself!

3. SHOWCASE: SHARE YOUR ART WITH THE WORLD!

Pre-record your performance to be part of the Cardon Studios Showcase. The complete event will be posted as a live viewing party on Zoom and Facebook for your family and friends to tune in, wherever they may be!

Showcases are the culmination of our event series: this event rounds out of our performance opportunities by providing practice with home recording (essential for the aspiring performer in today’s digital age!) while also, of course, drawing on the technique and interpretive skills you’ve learned in lessons plus the performance skills you’ve built during the preceding events, our live Open Mic Nights and Studio Masterclasses.

Students of all ages and levels of experience are invited to participate (your teacher will help you decide when you’re ready to put your work forward).
