A versatile singer and communicator, Kate Cardon has spent the last decade honing her teaching style and studying all styles of vocal music, from classical and Broadway to jazz, pop/rock and r&b. After completing her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, a degree largely focused on Classical and Operatic singing, Kate sought out and completed additional education in voice science and technical skills for contemporary and commercial styles of singing from such respected institutions as Westminster Choir College, Shenandoah Conservatory, and the Berklee School of Music. Kate’s teaching draws largely from the principles of Somatic Voicework and other functional training, and Kate is also a certified practitioner of the Neuro-Vocal method, a voice methodology based in modern understanding of brain science and motor learning. Whether teaching a classroom of students or one-on-one private lessons, Kate connects with students where they are, assessing their needs and helping them reach their personal goals, small or large. As a performer, Kate has been a featured soloist in opera, art song, musical theatre, and pop/rock, performing throughout the US and abroad. -Cristina M., Voice and Music Theory
Kate is a fabulous teacher and an extremely professional business owner. Lessons were completely tailored to my goals, the music I wanted to sing, and to my vocal weaknesses. Katherine is very educated and knowledgeable, she really knows what she’s doing and has an amazing voice herself! She taught me how to listen to my own mistakes and figure out why I was making them. She gave me the confidence to perform at a recital. Not only did I learn a LOT, but I had a lot of fun too. I highly recommend Cardon Studios and any of the teachers!

I have enjoyed my voice/piano lessons with Kate. She is a knowledgeable, patient teacher who has a natural gift for conveying musical knowledge in an individualized, constructive manner.
